Business, Innovation, Technology (BIT) is a research centre of Aalto University School of Science (TKK).

High-level research combined with outstanding societal impact

BIT Research Centre has over twenty years' experience of multidisciplinary research which combines technology and human activities. The centre is a unique platform for high-level academic research that has outstanding societal impact.

BIT emphasizes collaborative research. Our university partners include global leaders and high-potential institutes from emerging markets. Domestically, we cooperate with other universities, with leading companies, and with central governmental actors.

The centre has developed a critical mass to conduct simultaneously numerous research and innovation projects. In certain research areas, BIT has established itself as a leader in Europe. Examples are supply-chain management and logistics, project business, additive manufacturing, healthcare engineering, and services innovation.
